Ajith’s top 5 movies box office collection:
First place is none other than the Industry hit Viswasam. Released for 2019 Pongal along with super star’s Petta, the movie is the #1 profitable movie ever in Kollywood (in the recent decade)
The first place is bagged by Vedalam. Directed by Siruthai Siva and released in 2015, this movie had TN rights collection of 36 crore, box office collection of 71 crore and share collection of 47 crore.
Second place is bagged by Aarambam, released in 2013 and directed by Vishnuvardhan. The TN rights collection is 35 crore, box office collection is 51.5 crore and share collection is 32.8 crore.
Veeram, directed by Siruthai Siva and released in 2014, occupies the third place. The TN rights collection is 31 crore, box office collection is 51 crore and share collection is 30.25 crore.
Another 2019 release Nerkonda Paarvai stands in the fifth place. This is a remake of Hindi movie Pink , considering the low cost in making this quick remake movie where Ajith spent around 25-30 days for the whole movie, Nerkonda Paarvai did good business

2019 latest release Bigil is the highest grossing movie for Vijay world wide, the movie has grossed well over 250 crores world wide… Overall world wide success for the movie, still the movie did not beat Viswasam’s records in TN, because Bigil was sold at a very high price.
2018 release Sarkar stands #2 for Vijay in terms of box office collection
2017 release Mersal is the best collected Vijay movie in terms of box office and gross revenues.The movie went past all controversies and emerged as a money spinner. It grossed around 200 crores world wide in all countries including Telugu dubbed version. In TN it broke the years long record set by Enthiran.
fourth place goes to 2016 release Theri, directed by Atlee again stands in the second place and the TN rights collection is 44.5 crore, box office collection is 75.75 crore and share collection is 50 crore.
The fifth place is bagged by Thuppaki, directed by A.R. Murugadoss and released in 2012. TN rights collection is 38 crore, box office collection is 71.5 crore and share collection is 46.8 crore.
On the whole, Theri, Thuppaki and Kaththi have grossed much profit for distributors. Mersal was above average. The distributor gross profit margins are as follows: Theri – 10.55 %, Thuppaki – 18.80 % and Kaththi – 12.5 %.
