It is common to use animals in the movie. Most of the time these pets are used as side characters or are part of the story. However, in SJ Suryah’s coming movie Monster a rat plays the baddie.
Monster is directed by Nelson Venkatesan and the movie is based on the real-life incidents with rats.
Speaking about it, Nelson says, “It is a rat which has equal importance in the film and is the rival to Suryah.”
Suryah said that the director used a real rat instead of graphics. He also added that the team shot with the rat for about 20 days.
The movie has been censored and given a U certificate and has music by Justin Prabhakaran. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead. Monster is bankrolled by Potential Studios and will hit the screens on 17 May.
