Kalaiyarasan’s Adhe Kangal, helmed by debutant director Rohin Venkatesan, makes a solo entry at the box office as it released on 26th January 2017. The film had created a good pre-release buzz and the solo release is likely to help the team.
This romantic thriller stars Janani Iyer, Sshivada and Bala Saravanan in the lead roles. Kalai will play the role of a visually impaired person and is likely to explore his acting abilities. The film is released by CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment.
Adhe Kangal is a story that revolves around a chef and restaurateur named Varun (Kalai) who falls ‘blindly’ in love with Deepa (Sshivada). What follows is a romantic thriller with interesting twists and turns!
Getting a good story is half the work done! Adhe Kangal’s storyline has every element to a thriller lover and is engaging from the scratch to finish. The core plot is cleverly knit but one feels the screenplay could have been tighter.
The script does not deviate one bit from its core purpose. No unnecessary songs or sentiments or comedies in the film but yet the pace is a concern.
Adhe Kangal is a well-plotted thriller that will keep you engaged.
