Chekka Chivantha Vaanam Movie Review:

The story of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam opens with Senapathy (Prakash Raj) who is shown heading to temple with his wife (Jayasudha). On their way back home, an attempt is made on their life and luckily escapes from an attack. This News reaches Varadhan (Arvind Swamy), the first son of Senapathy and He taking care of his father’s business in Chennai.

Varathan calls his two brothers, The second, Thyagu (Arun Vijay), who looks after family business in Dubai and the third, Ethi (STR) who runs Business in Serbia. While Varathan married to Chitra (Jyothika) and Thyagu to Renu (Aishwarya), Ethi is in love with Chaya (Dayana).

After two brothers reached Chennai, And they all want to find out the person behind the attempt. They Seek Rasool’s Help to pin down two people who attacked their parents. Senapathy is back to normal and discharged from the hospital. But Senapathy passes away due to a sudden heart attack.

The brothers start fighting each other to find out who killed Senapathy and who gets his throne!

What Happens Next? Who Gets the Throne after their Father??  Who Killed Senapathy ?? Answers for this is rest of the film.

What makes Chekka Chivantha Vaanam gripping to the end is the tight screenplay and the performance of the huge star cast with equal importance to all the stars. At the end of the movie one can say Vijay Sethupathi who does not form the family of Senapathy and not among the three brothers, gets an edge and also stands out with his effortless performance. Santhosh sivan and AR Rahman excels in their departments

Chekka Chivantha Vaanam makes the comeback movie for Maniratnam after lackluster performance of Kaatru VEliyidai and STR aka Simbu after his debacle AAA (Anbanavan Adangathavan Asarathavan)

As far as the release is concerned the movie opened to houseful with huge number of early morning (5 am) shows in Chennai. Since the movie also has STR and Vijay sethupathi apart from Maniratnam it is sure to make big numbers in the box office in the opening weekend. Chekka Chivantha Vaanam  is expected to cross 10 crores plus on its release day today across tamilnadu, lets wait for the numbers tomorrow.
