Kollywood film industry now filled with many rumours once such is that Director AL Vijay who is the ex-husband of actress Amala Paul, is planning to tie the knot once again. So in order to put an end card to all these rumours, Vijay has issued a press statement with regards to this concern.
Characterising the media reports on his remarriage as “baseless,” Vijay said, “To my dismay, I found that in a certain section of media there were some fabricated rumours on my remarriage. This is baseless. This sort of unchecked and unauthorised information disturbs me a lot.”
Also, he added “Media had been largely instrumental in my growth and I feel I have the moral right to ask them to avoid such rumours. My commitment to the audience and the media is films of substance and I will strive hard to deliver it,”
Vijay and Amala were approved divorce by the family court at Chennai, just two weeks before. And the rumour that was widespread was Director AL Vijay’s father, AL Alagappan was searching for an appropriate match for his son.
Based on certain Tamil newspaper it was also said that Amala was very much upset in hearing such news about Vijay remarriage she even cancelled the shooting too that took off from the sets.
Actually, Amala and Vijay got married in the year 2014, month June. They were dating almost three years and then married in 2014. Due to the certain family problem, they both separated at the year of March 2015 and they planned to get a divorce in the month of August last year. There were also rumours that Vijay and his family forced Amala to leave acting and seem that is the main reason behind their split.
But, the director gave out a statement saying that he and his family supported Amala to pursue her acting career to the best of their abilities. Vijay also added that only Amala and he know the actual reason behind their divorce and they have now planned to move on with their lives in a dignified manner. Once after the small pause, now Amala has started focusing on her film career and she has been signed for many interesting projects in Tamil as well as Malayalam. Recently too she made her debut film in Kannada with Hebbuli.
Vijay where she tasted the box office hit by his last directorial venture Devi (L), he is at present busy with the post production of his forthcoming film Vanamagan, where Jayam Ravi is said to be in the lead role.
