Been in the making for long, Selvaraghavan’s NGK starring Suriya is out-and-out political film. Suriya plays man of the masses. The first collaboration between Selvaraghavan and Suriya, tells the story of a man named Nandha Gopalan Kumaran, popularly known as NGK.
The movie also stars Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh. Selvaraghavan’s last was Irandaam Ulagam that hit the screens in 2013. His Nenjam Marappathillai and Mannavan Vanthanadi are completed but still lying in the cans. NGK is simulatensouly being made in Tamil and Telugu. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
When NGK was first announced, it was supposed to hit the screens for 2018 Deepavali along with Vijay’s Sarkar. However, the film had to miss the date after Selvaraghavan fell ill and the shoot had to be stalled for a couple of weeks. The shoot was finally wrapped in January.
