Transgender model Anjali Ameer to Act in Mammootty’s Film

Transgender model Anjali Ameer who converted herself as women by way of enduring a sex reassignment surgery is in great joy. The 21 years old Malayali model who is currently based in Coimbatore is the first transgender actress from the Kerala state, to the act in the mainstream Malayalam film.

At the time of offshoots during the 21st edition of ”International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK)”, the Actress shares her experience during the shooting and her forthcoming projects with “SouthLive”.

Actor Mammootty took to Facebook so as to share the info as well as post a picture of his costar. The director of the film is Ram of “Thangameengal” fame. There is been a lot of films that has discussed the concerns of a transgender community, however, this is the first time that a transgender person plays a significant role in the film.

The film is been titled as Peranbu and was written and directed by Ram. Yuvan Shankar Raja is been assigned as the music director. The movie is been funded by the P. L. Thenappan. Since the director of the movie is very much busy in the Tamil project called‘Taramani’ this Peranbu movie has been delayed for some time.

But now the shooting of the Peranbu movie is been completed and the dubbing is started off. The producer P. L. Thenappan and Director Ram said that this film is going to have a Tamil version as well.
