The whole concept of Velai Illa Pattadhari, Dhanush’s blockbuster release, the story is about the ambitions of a Civil Engineer who doesn’t want to take up an IT Job and become a highly paid software engineer. This movie created much noise among all the other Dhanush films since it was a feast for people in non-IT jobs. Now this time the upcoming Gautham Karthick film Ivan Thanthiran movie is also said to talk about the Engineering Students.

The film also stars RJ Balaji who is portraying the Gautham Karthick friend role. There are scenes that both Gautham and RJ Balaji will showcase the trouble that is faced by the techies comprising unpredictable job market. Also, this film is supposed to say about the sorry state of engineering colleges in the country and their pressure that comes from the society to them.

In this film, Gautham and RJ Balaji seem to like to drama the engineering college dropouts, who are currently running a gadget shop. The comedy reveals at the prologue by RJ Balaji, who will bump into one of his classmate, who is a techie. That scene would be written and executed keeping in mind the sole purpose of spoiling the perception where engineers only can create it big in the current society.

This Ivan Thanthiran movie is touted to revolve around the relationship between the son and the father, who is a college dropout. In the film, Gautham’s character does reverse engineering, making replicas of original products. Shraddha Srinath will be making her debut as a female lead in Tamil with this film. She had earlier appeared in a small role in director Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai. She shot to fame after her Kannada film, U-Turn, became a big hit.

Ivan Thanthiran film is written and directed by R. Kannan. The music of the film is scored by the popular music director SS Thaman. The film is produced by the director R. Kannan himself under the banners of Masala Pix.
