Actor turned politician Kamal Haasan is all set to resume the shoot of his upcoming movie Indian 2. Sources say that the team will start shooting for the movie after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The movie which has Kamal Haasan playing the lead role is directed by Shankar. It was reported that Kamal asked Shankar to resume the shoot in May as he is busy with election duties and campaigning for his own party Makkal Needhi Maiam.
Once the election is over, the shooting is expected to be held in Taiwan.
Indian 2 is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and is said to be done on a mega budget and is a sequel to Indian. The movie which originally went on floors in January was stalled as Kamal was busy with his political commitments. Apart from Taiwan, the movie will also be shot in Ukraine, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
Kajal Aggarwal will be playing the female lead. There are rumors that Siddharth and Dulquer Salmaan will be part of the movie. Music of the movie will be by Anirudh Ravichander.
Earlier the makers released a few posters of the film featuring Kamal in the role of Senapathy, the octogenarian who is the main lead of the movie. The poster featured an older version of Senapathy. The makers are planning to release the film for Pongal 2020.
